Ballybeg house Alternative wedding photography
It’s a really special thing when you witness two people that deeply love each other getting married. I mean, don’t get me wrong it happens all the time that’s what weddings are about but I could just tell from the off that Nicola and Dwayne are soul mates. From as soon as I arrived I knew I’d be shooting an alternative wedding, with a couple as cool as these.
They had all their old love letters and photos around the house from as far back to their teens, it was just so amazing to see their journey to their wedding day. The whole day was very much about that and about the family and friends they invited to celebrate it. Even the wedding marquee setup felt like they were trying to include everyone and make everyone feel like part of their event.
Nicola is an awesome wedding photographer herself and shooting for a photographer is something that always makes me a tad nervy. But they were so chilled out and happy to have me there that it made me feel instantly part of the day and the rest just fell into place. Ballybeg has a real alternative feel to it and Nicola and Dwayne’s style and setup matched that perfectly.
Wedding Dress
So I have to mention that dress… how beautiful and perfectly matched it was to Nicola’s natural alternative style, both herself and Dwayne are such a great pair and two of nicest people you could meet and work with on a wedding day.
Thanks so much to you guys for letting me be part of your wedding day, you’re an amazing couple.
