Katie & Marcus | A Homemade Clifden Wedding

Ok seriously.. if your ever thinking of going to Clifden for a holiday look at my About-Us page. That image was captured on the road into Clifden, yes unreal. The scenery is just incredible the mountains, the sea, the rolling fields it has it all, amazing. And just as amazing was Marcus and Katie’s wedding. The day started with some of the most beautiful weather we’d seen that summer. The whole morning, ceremony and reception was at Katie’s house in Clifden where they erected and beautified a marquee for the ceremony and speeches, the reception was to be around the garden of the beautifully renovated cottage. Marcus stayed close by at a sea view bungalow and the lads decided on a morning swim which luckily for them was a nice warm day. The sea was cold.. i knew this cos every time anyone went in for a swim they would scream… therefore i assumed :-). The girls got ready at the house beside the marquee which made for a very chilled out morning too. The ceremony started at 3 when everyone had arrived by bus and music was played by Katie’s friends and songs sung by Katie’s sister.. they where amazing! They kicked off with a talking heads number I love called “This must be the place” and it no doubt was the place!! Later after some chill out time at the reception Katie, Marcus, Rory (from magic chair) and myself went to a beach I had checked out earlier and I took some shots while the couple had a few moments together and climbed some rocks :-).. What a day it was really enjoyed shooting this one it was very relaxed and a real documentary style day too, which I of course love. Thanks Katie and Marcus for having me there!! Enjoy…
