Irish Wedding at Lisnavagh House & Fallons of Kilcullen
I had the pleasure of photographing Mary and Paddy’s not one but 2 weddings days back in 2021 and 22, and it was an absolute delight. The couple got married in 2021 at home with a small ceremony in their beautiful garden with just family and afterwards some photos in the Curragh on a beautiful day between the hawthorns and on the hills and then headed to Fallons of Kilcullen for a small meal. They then decided it was only right to celebrate with all their friends and family a year later at Lisnavagh House in Carlow and what a celebration it was!
The ceremony took place in the stunning Yew Walk at Lisnavagh with all their friends and families surrounding them. They sang, exchanged vows, prepared a Hawthorn tree for planting and walked down the aisle together with everyone in tow to the sounds of their families singing and playing. It was a lovely way to mark the occasion and something to always remind them of the day.
After the ceremony, Mary and Paddy literally led the way to the reception where the real party began. The outdoor celebration was so nice, with great weather, food and greenery creating a dreamy atmosphere. Later the dance floor was alive first by Mary singing to Paddy which of course she absolutely nailed and then on for some high powered moves and topped off with of course a bridesmaid in a dinosaur costume sure what else! It was such a fun and unique touch to the day, and I loved capturing the energy and excitement of the guests. With toasted sandwiches and Tayto, an Irish favourite, to add the perfect late-night snack to keep everyone going on the dance floor.
Mary and Paddy are such a great couple, and it was an honor to be part of their special day. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness as a married couple. Congratulations, Mary and Paddy, and thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful celebration.
