We love the alternative documentary weddings like Irene and Mel’s where your job is to turn up and do your thing, documentary and free flowing.
Mel is a superb pro photographer and Irene an RTE presenter, TV stylist, MC and writer. We really felt as if we were around friends all day. The chilled and funky atmosphere at Mount Druid really sets the alternative tone and that vibe was absorbed along with the scorching sunshine all day and night. I love how the colour, feel and relaxed tone of the day came through in the final images.
Irene is a self confessed lover of vintage and what other way to show her true colours than to get married in her mothers wedding dress with her own added twist of course. Check out an article here for more details on her amazing dress.
A big thanks and congrats to Irene & Mel for trusting us to shoot their amazing day, we’re delighted with the result. I really tried to narrow these images down but I found it impossible not to show the day in as much detail as possible…

on March 15, 2017 1:43 pmIndulging in a mutual sweet tooth Peggy and Michael had a multitude of sweet treat options, as well as a proper party band and pretty details all captured by Moat Hill. As all our DCU friends can attest this means that you pretty much spend every day for 6 stressful months together.
